Not all 100% copper mugs are created equal. Did you know that while other imported brands found on Amazon for $20 say they are 100% copper, they are not built to last? They are in fact machine-constructed with ultra-thin copper that you can smash or break in the palm of your hand like a weak dixie cup. This is why our mugs weigh more. Competing companies that are not made in the USA also mention that riveted handles are not the way to go. This is completely false. Users and metal experts know that a riveted handle is far superior over a welded or soldered handle. Soldered handles are cheap and break off easily overtime. We have seen it first hand. That is why we chose to go "riveted" at the birth of our company. It is more costly and labor intensive but it had to be done for the longevity and quality we wanted to bring to our customers right away.
